The Perfect Wedding Guide For You

A wonder, beautiful, romantic wedding is on most brides list of things to enjoy in their lifetime. It may be difficult to put something so dreamlike together if you have no idea what you are doing or where to start. With a simple wedding guide, along with a few pointers, you can be on your way to the day of your dreams.

Before you even get started planning, you absolutely must figure out a budget. Your budget will dictate to you how much you can spend and where you need to cut some corners. Once you have the number figured out, you need to break it down into categories like gown and accessories, decor, food, entertainment, tips and extra’s.

It really does pay to shop around for a gown and bridesmaids dresses. Gown shopping is usually the time when most brides realize they are about to be a wife. Finding the perfect dress gets better if you can get it at a reasonable price. Many shops will match and even beat the price of another store, just ask.

Finding a venue can be a difficult task, especially if you are picky. If you wait too long, you may be stuck with someplace you do not particularly like. Make sure you ask each place if they have someone who helps set up and take down. Also be sure to ask if they provide linens and tableware, and even a caterer.

When it comes to feeding a large group of people, it can get quite pricey. Buffet service is a way to cut down on the costs because it eliminates the need for more wait staff. Check with different caterer’s and compare pricing. When you meet with them, ask them what they suggest. Many chef’s have a popular dish that is budget friendly.

Open bars are always great for guests, however not everyone can afford them. If you insist upon having an open bar, see if the venue will allow you to purchase all of the alcohol in bulk, then you can hire your own bartender. This can save you a load of cash. If this isn’t a possibility, purchase a set amount of beer and wine, once it’s gone the guests are either finished or can pay for drinks. You may also limit the open bar to cocktail hour and after that, guests will have to pay for drinks.

In order to make the best use of all the flowers and decorations you buy, use them for the ceremony and then for the reception. To cut back on flower costs, use more greenery and even add vegetables and fruits. Calla lilies and bell peppers make wonderful arrangements. Hand made paper flowers as well as candles are also great alternatives.

You may not be able to afford everything you have ever wanted, but with the perfect wedding guide and by following your budget, you just might be able to create the perfect day anyways. People will enjoy the day as long as it is light hearted and organized. Relax and enjoy the planning so that once you walk down the aisle, you can be proud of everything you have accomplished.
